Most light scratches and swirl marks that you can't catch a fingernail in can be machine-polished out. Deeper scratches that have gone through the clear coat can be greatly improved but not always fully removed — we'll tell you honestly after assessing the paint.

Polishing is one step within paint correction. A quick polish adds gloss; full paint correction uses decontamination plus one or more machine-polishing stages to actually remove defects from the clear coat and restore clarity, not just shine it up temporarily.
